The set-up is not as elegant as that of the first film, so this feels more forced and the humour more familiar. Still, the performances are winning and the setting appropriately seasonal, so it might do for the holidays.

Instantly forgettable.

What makes this sequel work so well is how genuinely charming it is, and it's all thanks to the performances, writing and savvy direction.

Your Christmas or Mine 2 tries to expand on the original premise and in turn loses sight of what made the first film so appealing.
