Camp Lake Pleasant is tonally inconsistent and not really interesting enough to grab the audience and keep us engaged.

While the film bungles its flashbacks, once it settles into the present, it thankfully finds its groove. A staged murder weekend bursts into a nightmarish wasteland worthy of any of the Sleepaway Camp sequels.

Like a holiday from hell, in the worst possible sense.

It’s low rank slasher entertainment but can easily be put in the background as low attention entertainment.
