Shrill, frantic, and hideous to look at, “Gracie & Pedro: Pets to the Rescue” isn’t just one of the worst animated movies of the year—it’s one of the worst movies of the year, period.

The cheap-looking CGI animation has zero allure, with by-the-numbers character design contributing to the overall feeling that this lacklustre film was made almost entirely in order to prise money from the fingers of tired parents.

Even on a visual level, it fails to entertain with its utterly generic animation and character design, all of which suggests the output of an AI system in dire need of debugging.

A by-the-numbers family-oriented animated movie in which the numbers don’t add up to much.
