Storyline

Op and Ed, two adorable donut-shaped animals - flummels - accidentally time-travel from 1835 to modern-day Shanghai. There they discover traffic, trans fats, and worst of all, that flummels are now extinct. It's up to this bumbling pair to save themselves and their species...and, just maybe, change the course of history.

In the Darwinian world of kids' entertainment, Extinct looks like an evolutionary dead end.

Extinct isn't actively bad but just bland and forgettable.

It's a real disappointment to watch Silverman fail to inject some sort of life into "Extinct," giving it something more than the day-old-bread vibe it currently has.

It's a somewhat conventional tale that lacks any real adventure or individuality.
