Yintah

“Yintah” vigorously paints a resiliency that will never surrender.

A commanding and seductive portrait of resistance. Yet the volume of the film’s message is also cranked up to such an intense degree that the quieter, messier facts of its story are unnecessarily muted, resulting in a doc that only feels half-realized.

Yintah is a prescient documentary about indigenous people’s rights to their land, and will be a rallying cry for resistance everywhere.

This didactic and potentially emotionally taxing documentary will draw interested viewers but moves a little slowly to appeal to much broader audiences.
