The narrative is derivative and clunky, the pacing ill judged, the performances shaky at best, and there are entire corny subplots that are utterly disposable.

The combat sequences and SUV shootouts are grimly efficient, but the picture is baggily paced, with far too many lengthy scenes of Andy wrestling with his inner turmoil over a sad bowl of cereal in his caravan.

This is a boorish, blokey film, the cinematic equivalent of a man sitting on the tube with his legs spread wide apart.

A stripped down and simplistic revenge thriller made no less disposable by the added presence of the Royal Marines.
