This Is Buzz

This Is Buzz is not simply their story of success and failure. It’s a mixtape of the ‘90s, a collage of songs mashed together to create a hybrid that eerily foreshadows many of today’s video streaming platforms.

Not only do the aesthetics of this documentary suck, but the film doesn’t come close to making the case that Buzz was important or groundbreaking

This is Buzz is both a documentary and a compelling time capsule.

I can’t stand talking-head interviewees spouting about the importance of some other person, usually their friend or colleague, but even worse is the interviewee touting their own importance.
