Avoiding feeling like a stretched-out episode, Call My Agent!: The Movie’s reunion outside of the office is the right mix of familiar yet fresh.

Other than its two-hour runtime, there’s not much to distinguish the movie from an episode of the show, but that’s probably as it should be: When a beloved series becomes a movie, there’s no reason, or desire, to reinvent the wheel.

Most of the original cast is back for an enjoyable romp of a TV movie... The comedy gold, however, all belongs to Noémie Leclerc (the hilarious Laure Calamy), the exuberantly emotional executive assistant who is now an eager but inexperienced producer.

This being a French farce, there is plenty of post-midnight rendezvous, though in the case of Andrea and Noémie it’s to talk about the budget. Along the way, we get to enjoy what Call My Agent! does best after office politics and actor tantrums: cameos.
