It Ends will silently pose the questions through James and his friends' harrowing journey. But its up to each audience member to find the meaning themselves.

Ullom hasn’t made the horror movie that its marketing might suggest, but he has created something more interesting than most low-budget debuts in the genre.

It Ends creeps up on you, works its way into your bones. It feels for stretches like little is happening, and you’re lulled by its rhythms, the steady drone of tires on infinite asphalt.

The real danger, Ullom suggests, isn't physical but existential - this is not about how to survive life's endless endurance test, but why bother - and his conclusions push towards the profound.
