Its filmmaking chops make it watchable and intermittently thrilling, but don’t come here looking for insight.

The movie excels in what it does best – action. Whether it’s the blistering rhythm or the tactical precision, the action sequences are thrilling and often make us feel as if we’re observing the real thing.

We're not here for the news, we're here for the action, and Man of War delivers it in spades

Man of War is an action movie so dull and predictable, it makes you wonder if at least part of this movie was written by low-quality artificial intelligence. It's another mind-numbing plot about a military veteran rescuing a damsel in distress.
