One of the things that I like about these films is that the filmmakers remember is that, despite the fact that you're doing stop-motion animation, close-ups matter.

It's really charming and lovely. I will always love Shaun; he is one of my favorite characters.

Beast of Mossy Bottom is a playfully genre-literate monster-movie pastiche, packed with sly horror references (the Psycho shower scene nod is gloriously silly) and crisply timed visual humour.

Shaun’s imaginative use of basic science is endearing, and the dog’s grief for the Farmer moving.
