Disney's sequel to the story of Mowgli and his jungle companions leaves out the name of Rudyard Kipling on the credits. No loss. It could well have left out the name of Disney.

Ok for kids, but not the most inspired sequel.

Is there any other reason Disney would throw in three reprises here of the original's hit song, 'Bare Necessities' if it were not to disguise this film's 'Unnecessary Indulgence'?

The catchiness of the original songs can't be matched with the jazzier and updated soundtrack, even as this follow-up recycles melodies from 1967.
