My goodness does it flail when brought to life on the screen in a collection of pointless and random hallucinatory digressions that mean nothing and go nowhere as they desperately strive for laughs.

Even when the laughs evaporate in the final stretch, Gaten Matarazzo and Sean Giambrone know how to breathe comic life into a stoner buddy comedy that’s high on its own shitfaced supply.

It’s fast, witty, and packed with clever punchlines, though it still finds time for several scatological gags.

You don’t punch up your comedy by yelling your jokes, you do it by writing better jokes.
