Another Day

Another Day’s jittery rhythms add meaning to its English title: every moment is fleeting and, like this movie, worth savoring for what it is.

With an effortless handle on the passage of time and generously observed details, 'Another Day' feels gentle and immersive even when it briefly errs on the side of didacticism.

Other films that have been half as long have achieved more.

There’s a lot of good in this movie, but the uninspired addiction arc does not make best use of anybody’s talents here. You really want to like Another Day, but in the end its problems are too great for you to hang around.
