With some witty special effects and the seasoned performances of the A-list stars, Bhoothnath works best when it focuses on the spooky antics between ghost and humans.

Ultimately, the film goes off-track and into the realm of serious melodrama, and loses the audience.

Bhoothnath (Ghost Lord) has all the hallmarks of wacky family comedies the world over, although with some admirably dark and serious spots as well.
