"A Good Man"

Through it all, you can see what makes [Jones] such an effective artist in a collaborative medium: the ability to enlarge his diva moments into a communal experience.

A Good Man has devastating moments, but its good intentions ultimately shortchange Chris and Rachel, diminishing, not to mention patronizing, them.

It's an interesting story, but the presentation is more like a home movie than something you'd pay to see in a theater. Wait for it to pop up on cable TV.

A captivating, heartfelt and unflinchingly honest documentary brimming with warmth and humor.
