For those of us starving for details on the creative process, this movie does an exceptional job holding our hand and walking us through an especially difficult but ultimately worthwhile and immersive journey of self-healing.

By sharing her own stories, from infertility to grief to mental health, Bareilles crafts not just delicate and magical songs but also a place to lean into the fullness of the human experience with all its joys and sorrows, laughter and vulnerabilities.
