Famous for the scene in which the acrobatic Chan, cornered by pirates, is left hanging by a clock's minute hand, this is a rumbustiously entertaining caper set in Hong Kong at the turn of the century.

while it may seem to the untrained eye that Project A is just a particularly good Jackie Chan vehicle, it is actually the film that solidified his career and opened up his future

The highlights include a plunge from a high tower, the sort of scene that makes me wonder how the hell Chan is still alive. (Performing the scene, the actor landed on his neck. His neck!)

The scene in the teahouse where Hung and Chan team up to slap around a couple of lowlifes is poetry. The climactic battle with Biao, Chan, and Hung trying to take down the pirate captain might be the greatest fight scene in all of cinema.
