Loznitsa opts for long, static wide shots that wholly embody the gradations of the conflict at hand.

It's profoundly affecting, eerie and, at times, strangely beautiful.

Loznitsa offers something that these days is rare and precious: close-up coverage of history in the making that doesn't have "breaking news" ribbons or network logos plastered all over it.

RTEl Pais (Spain)Jun 10, 2022

An extreme documentary, there's no narration, just stationary takes and ambient sound of the [Kiev Plaza uprising] for two long yet hypnotic hours. [Full review in Spanish]
