Somewhat fantastic, it takes a bit of stretching of the Imagination to swallow this story, and beyond the work of the star himself there Is nothing to raise this film above the average feature.

It is interesting at times, though, to watch Mr. Chaney, and some of Director Worsley's pictures are interesting, too.

The picture is exceptionally entertaining and works up to a climax which if not convincing is decidedly thrilling... Mr. Chaney essays the dual role assigned him with that fine assurance which marks all his work.

That the picture has been perfectly handled we must admit, for the intensity of the suspense is felt by the beholder, and the story, gruesome as it is, holds one fascinated till the climax. But the sensation is not a pleasant one.
