The rom-com genre is about people coming together to become the best versions of themselves, which is what Aladdin interested in too.

Despite all of Aladdin’s other achievements, it may be most significant for providing Williams what he has until now been deprived: the perfect film role, one that can accommodate his machine-gun delivery.

Though at times his endless gabbing makes you want to stuff him back into the lamp, Williams is perfectly cast here.

Aladdin has all the elements: action, intrigue, romance, music and comedy. Not just light, cute, well-mannered comedy, either. We're talking side-splitting, roll-in-the-aisles, spit-up-your-popcorn comedy.
