Writer-director Enzo G. Castellari is a maestro of the action set piece.

The Big Racket is frequently exciting, but the rampant stupidity of various characters reveals a breakdown in screenwriting prowess.

Some really disturbing scenes and real bastard villains kind gets undercut with some laughable slow-motion shots, especially at the end with paintballs hitting various characters. Still, a decent Italian crime-drama that kept my attention. **3.75/5**
