The filmmaker has quite a good set of actors at his disposal (Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Sahil Vaid) but ends up wasting them.

The film, on its part, adheres to no particular generic rules, flitting back and forth between flippant and intense in the hope of hitting its straps. It never does.

Despite its many misses, Bank Chor has more verve. Whatever little progress Bumpy has made as a filmmaker, however, is far outweighed by the insidious messaging of this film.

By the second hour, it's impossible to be invested enough to figure out who is doing what and why the hell promising actors like Naveen Kaushik continue to be wasted in thankless bit roles.
