While it's not surprising that A Speck of Dust is so good - Silverman is a great joke writer and one of the all-time joke tellers, particularly skilled at pacing and performing her sets - it is that much more impressive.

Silverman manages to pull off a balancing act between a call for bipartisan understanding and some bizarre musings.

It's a joyful hour with a comedian who has been missed on the stage.

Instead of running at you full speed, forcing you to reckon with how funny she is, Silverman's jokes feels effortless.
