One can't avoid the feeling that the film would have been far more effective as an absurdist social satire than yet another tired entry in the crowded horror marketplace.

[Followers is] tense, perfectly paced and packed with knowing nods to irritating online behaviours we all could learn to live without.

Despite Followers not hitting its mark, there are interesting 21st-century themes at play.

If there is one thing I can say is, keep trying. There is definitely some green talent here with all involved. Keep working, keep trying.
