Although a little rough and ready, there's a gritty charm and undeniable chutzpah to Nightshooters that make it hard to dislike.

They build a film here that is well-made, well-planned, and for which the exact right cast was put into place.

This does create a tonal imbalance that's hard to ignore as the film can't seem to make a decision on what it wants to be, but when it's in the zone, Nightshooters is not only entertaining but shocking in the most positive way.

Some of the best on-screen fights I've seen this year.
