A forgettable fantasy cheapie whose gruff earnestness feels hollow thanks to the unforgiveable thinness of its story and the weakness of its grip on its source material.

Unfortunately, Arthur & Merlin: Knights of Camelot is light on both plot and characterization. Arthur's return to Camelot is slow and tedious, leaving the audience to wait a long time for the movie's final, climactic 15 minutes.

an entertainment product that is only partially successful [...] The movie does, however, present some interesting causes for reflection, which set it apart from the myth's origins and can make for an interesting viewing experience.

For a stripped-back Arthur, a character study of a king who has lost faith in himself and his role, there’s an awful lot thrown in here, without the time, budget or real insight to do it all justice.
