For all its indignation, Time is fuelled by only the most positive energy. It’s a deeply personal and intimate film with a universal message: there is nothing more valuable than time, but there is also nothing more powerful than love.

It's a dazzling, prismatic meditation on the nature of time itself, [...] a reflection on the life that grows and blooms even as we wait impatiently for years to pass.

This is a beautifully shot film that's as interested in studying the changing faces of its subjects as laying out their struggle from end to end.

[Time asks viewers] whether they believe in time served and second chances, and to bear witness to a prison-industrial complex built on the legacy of slavery.
