By no means a classic in the Korean action-thriller pantheon, but a good enough stopgap for a rainy Sunday until the next one comes along.

Infrastructure disasters are pretty scary and dangerous without needing to throw murderous assassin dogs in there. There was already a collapsing bridge and a toxic gas leak. What do the murderous assassin dogs really add?

Project Silence is by no means a perfect story, with the CGI dogs almost pulling off the realism and the conspiratorial military sidepiece tiptoeing into eye-rolling cringe. When the action kicks off, it rolls at a respectable pace and for 101 minutes.

The film features several characters in the same situation, but none have distinct personalities that add depth to the plot. After setting up an intriguing scenario, the story loses momentum, and the grand climax becomes predictable.
