Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a strictly-by-the-template rom com.

A lightweight, unambitious three-way romantic comedy whose utter predictability may be its greatest asset.

[The film] entertains, but the brittle Ms. Kaif keeps it earthbound. Her Dimple is brash all right, but her antics are more grating than convincing. Styled as open and self-possessed, she lacks one essential quality: charm.

The numbers are big, overblown, well shot and rather humorous, and the second half has some very strong last minute plot moves. Still, it's a strangely lumbering, awkward affair.
