Ultimately, "Kurup" is an epic story that proves quite entertaining to watch, while in terms of production values it is certainly top notch. Some issues with the narrative, and the overall presentation of the story prevent it from becoming truly great.

Dulquer Salmaan brilliantly portrays the character of Kurup by not just attaining a similar appearance but also embodying the cunningness of the man in question.

Dulquer Salmaan...uses his looks and charm not to make us like the lead, but to establish him as a deceptively likeable and restless rascal, a smooth operator who can worm his way into anyone’s affections...and change colours in an instant.
