The scenery in “Toscana” is stunning, the stars are likable and — as is usually the case with movies like these — there’s some real satisfaction in seeing how all the dots get connected.

Toscana is a soft, relaxed drama with enough heart and a touch of romantic undertones to make something otherwise unremarkable into a movie worthy of an hour and a half.

As another addition to the growing genre of movies about ill-tempered chefs, Toscana offers something lyrical and eloquent in what is left unsaid.

A crescendo of tension and improbabilities not particularly well resolved and a complacent final act that leaves you half crazy. [Full review in Spanish]
