Put simply, there's nothing surprising about this story, nothing surprising about the action, the plot, how relationships turn out, and so on.

A quick 94 minutes of mostly disposable escapism that tosses anachronism around like Tarantino and deploys flippant comedy like Waititi, and is perfectly consumable even if it doesn’t stick to your ribs.

What this movie has got going for it is pace; it moves so quickly through its gears that you may not have time to pause and notice just how baggy much of the story is.
