Motor City contains around five lines from the opening moments to the end credits. Since there isn’t much in the way of conversation, the bruising combat scenes take center stage to head-spinning effect.

If you’re an action junkie, this is your fix.

For movie-watchers who have wished that modern cinema was less reliant on boilerplate dialogue and tell-don’t-show exposition dumps, Motor City plays like a monkey’s paw curling in slow motion.

A compilation mixtape in search of a movie, "Motor City" is an almost entirely wordless action movie that assumes audiences will be happy with bare minimum plotting as long as a song they enjoy is playing.
