Storyline

Two Arkansas firemen, Vince and Don, get hold of a map that leads to a cache of stolen gold in an abandoned factory in East St. Louis. What they don't know is that the factory is on the turf of a local gang, who come by to execute one of their enemies. Vince sees the shooting, the gang spots Vince, and extended mayhem ensues. As Vince and Don try to escape, gang leader King James argues with his subordinate Savon about how to get rid of the trespassers.

“Trespass pits public servants against gangsters in a race for stolen loot -- and thanks to a killer cast and Walter Hill's assured direction, the audience wins.”

There's something bracing about the utter amorality of Trespass.

In a season dominated by bloated blockbuster wannabes, it's easy to respond to the lean-and-mean B-movie pleasures of Trespass.

Paxton's performance utilizes his tremendous gift for taking a mild-mannered average man, placing him on the razor wire of a moral dilemma, and watching him twist and turn as his ethics fall to the wayside and he has to fight to survive.
