Luz

If only the drama measured up to the aesthetics, “Luz” would shine.

a film that’s ultimately as shallow as the virtual worlds that its characters occupy.

At times the dialogue is blunt, the script not quite as remarkable as the style, but I still found myself fully connected to these people and their searching.

It’s hard not to wonder what a concept like this would have looked like in the hands of a more seasoned sci-fi veteran – perhaps someone like Denis Villeneuve or Alex Garland.
