The smooth, engaging first half descends, post-interval, into mopey melodrama, and I got impatient waiting for the inevitable resolution.

"2 States" is an effort to go beyond formula while also embracing formulaic elements, including some nice song-and-dance sequences. The mix isn't right yet.

Don't skip this if you have a thing for happily-ever-after endings.

2 States doesn't know where to stop. It takes a good idea and stretches it to a point where it becomes tedious and uninteresting.
