One is forced to chalk up the movie's clashing styles to experimentation, directorial uncertainty or lack of money. The movie may be true, but only selected cast members make it credible.

We open with Laurel Holloman as "Randy" making out with an older married woman in a gas station bathroom. This, by the way, is the most interesting thing that will happen in this entire movie. Let that settle in

A comedy with a lot on its mind, Maggenti explores homophobia, racism, classicism, and more, along with its deliriously sweet romance sequences.
