Questioning plot points here, or asking how the thief manages to survive deadly falls or even to vanish into thin air, is like expecting a prestidigitator to reveal the secrets behind his tricks. Better, perhaps, just to sit back and enjoy the magic show.

Running Out of Time 2 strips away everything that made the first film popular. Instead, the focus is entirely on small moments and big sequences.

... it’s certainly fun, but it retreads so much familiar material without the same emotional pressure within the narrative that the audience feels more distant from it than the first.
