The Show

Neither sharp enough to qualify as satire nor emotional enough to be a standard drama, "The Show" exists in film purgatory.

Early promise quickly evaporates once the film sheds its smirk and turns increasingly sanctimonious.

Placing the obvious philosophical hypocrisies aside, the film's ultimate issues lie in motivations, the film's and each of the characters.

A bizarre melodrama featuring normally skilled actors struggling to turn the concept into anything noteworthy.
