A neon-soaked, synth-fuelled slice of science fiction... The striking aesthetic is complimented perfectly by some impressive visual effects and Carpenter Brut’s pulsating score which brings the film to life.

Blood Machines is an utterly immersive, visually striking love letter to 80's sci-fi and horror films and what it lacks in narrative coherence it will certainly make up for through its acid trip imagery.

No one could ever accuse [Seth] Ickerman and [Carpenter] Brut of being half-hearted in their homage to retro sci-fi B movies; whether or not that's a good thing will depend entirely on the viewer's appetite for corny genre exercises.

It's one of those rare genuinely impressive films that you have to just experience. [Full Review in Spanish]
