This is a film to connect us all and give us a greater understanding of who we are and who we can be. And it is with sincere gratitude that I give to Jeffrey Palmer for bringing this man and his story to everyone.

It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it is an effective and competent look at an important American literary figure. Momaday makes a great subject for a documentary

There's no better way than to mark the 50th anniversary of N. Scott Momaday's Pulitzer Prize than by American Masters telling us his story in Words from a Bear.
