Just Don't Think I'll Scream

While the visual component of Just Don't Think I'll Scream is characterized by the unrecognizable, the arcane, the audio element coheres as a stream of facts, dates, events, lucid thoughts and connections.

The movie screams nothing so much as the pained self-absorption of depression - an anguished revelation, but dead-on.

Its most immediate appeal is the simple scavenger's thrill of encountering so many tantalizing images in different formats from across film history in swift succession.

There’s no room tone or music, just Beauvais’s unsparing chronicle of a dismal spring, summer and fall, illustrated by a truly overwhelming number of images.
