An action-packed kids’ movie with plenty of PG-rated bashing and a real spirit of adventure. The letdown is some fairly average animation, and human characters that move like cheap marionettes with jolty limbs.

Overall, Dragonkeeper fails to deliver on an exciting premise, making it an easily forgettable film.

A beautiful animation that is the perfect introduction to world cinema for children of all ages. The fantasy element is remarkable and opens up a whole new world that needs to be explored.

Perhaps not surprisingly, given that the book on which the movie is based is part of a series, the movie doesn't wrap everything up too neatly.
