Death to 2021 is an entertaining watch with laughable moments. Hugh Grant as Tennyson Foss is brilliant, along with Joe Keery as the influencer Duke Goolies.

While I can find little fault in how [Death to 2021] approaches, formats, and delivers its attempt to make light of the year that was, I find myself failing to laugh at it.

There's no penetrating satire or caustic commentary, just some clever comic wordplay and a salvo of snappy snipes about big events and cultural shifts, all spiced by a large roster of terrific comic turns.
