Two Women

A fine ensemble cast anchors this genteel Russian period drama, which was adapted from Ivan Turgenev's 1855 play A Month in the Country.

A handsomely mounted if largely melodramatic affair that gains steam as it gives way to truer emotions and bits of veiled humor.

Two Women is an earnest, straight-faced adaptation of Ivan Turgenev's A Month in the Country that has a sexy and compelling performance stunt at its heart.

For most of us, it will be the presence of Ralph Fiennes that draws us to Two Women, and quite right too because he's very good in this adaptation of Ivan Turgenev's play A Month In The Country, even delivering his part in Russian.
