Mayhem is an energetic genre flick that moves at a ferocious pace. But contrived dialogue and a bewildering narrative tarnish this otherwise enjoyable pulp effort.

Mayhem channels rage at an unfair society and the bullshit that trickles down from the Powers That Be into a paean to uncontrolled anger.

"Mayhem" is a frantic, blood-splattered, rock 'n' roll action-horror-comedy that plays like a killer cross between "Crank" and "Office Space."

Joe Lynch has fully embraced his enthusiasm and passion for genre cinema while also flexing his comedic chops, all thanks to the tour-de-force performance of his new muse, Steven Yeun.
