Like many films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the story of Jiang Ziya is far more concerned with big epic punches rather than complex character weaving, and earned pathos.

Coloroom returns with another breathtaking toon adapted from ancient Chinese legend, this one more serious (and slightly easier to follow) than last year's comedic hit.

Impressively for a piece of foundation-stage universe building, Jiang Ziya manages to hint at a world beyond the frame without mitigating its individual pleasures.
